2012 research by Towers Watson indicates that approximately 65% of all employees feel unsupported, detached, or disengaged from their current employer. Within the U.S. workforce, the estimated annual cost of this trend is more than $300 billion in lost productivity. Most organizations understand the importance of having an engaged workforce and have developed initiatives to address this. However, how do you know whether your organization’s strategies are aligned with the culture and needs of your employee population? Additionally, given the reality of limited resources and budgets, how can you address morale and engagement issues without straining your bottom line? This presentation will focus on:
- The current environment: A review of workplace engagement research
- Review of strategies and approaches to address and enhance workplace engagement that are non-monetary based
- Simple management approaches to promote engagement, based on Gallup 12 research
- How to leverage current vendor relationships as part of your strategy
